Oh wait. Yes, I have. I'm sorry, but I just don't have it in me right now to type it all out again. Besides, it was just ramblings anyway. You didn't want to hear me go on and on about this, right?

One of the best essays I've read in years. Graeber is a terrific writer. Thanks for typing it out and for posting it. Saw it in the magazine, glad it's on line.

Carole, sounds like you had some quality time with Faith and Tim and got to "know them as persons." I should have known that they are as perfect as they appear to be.

In my defense, you'll note that I said, they "strike me as fake." Subtle, but important qualification implying that they appear fake to me.

kinda off topic, but i thoroughly enjoy quotes by John Adams.
I have this posted on my cubicle wall:
"In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm, and three or more is a congress."

My husband and I had the distinct pleasure of meeting both Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in Calgary two years ago, they were the kindest most caring people we have ever had the pleasure to meet, his sister had arranged for us to meet Tim,however Faith came out just because she wanted to and let me tell you a nicer more caring couple we have never met, they really do love each other and have the kindest of hearts so you should know a person perhaps before you go saying things. Just a thought.
